Megaboobs!

Now, I'm all for this kind of thing - for me, fetishism is as much about pushing boundaries (and stretching clothing) to breaking point as it is about the clothing. The only thing I'm really not sure about is the design of the magazine, I mean, look at that logo... how '80s is that? And the title? Megaboobs? Seriously? Still, with models such as Summer Cummings, Minka and cover girl Vanessa Montagne, I might have to pick up a copy....

Site Review: SusanWayland.com

Well, I decided that it was time to put my money where my mouth is, and actually sign up for some of the websites that I insist you all go and visit, just so that you, and I, can get a feel for what you get. I will try to be as objective as possible, so that you know whether you're getting your money's worth. If I think a site is crap, or too expensive, then I will say so. I welcome your own comments and reviews.

The first site I have signed up for is SusanWayland.com The first problem I had with the site was the unclear pricing. At the time of joining (19th May, 2007), there appeared to be two pricing schemes: one was $25 (approx. £13) for the first month, followed by a monthly rebill of around $18 (approx. £9) - the lower price for subsequent months is obviously to encourage you to stay longer, as if you decide to leave and then rejoin, you'll have to pay the full amount from the start.

However, there seemed to be another pricing scheme which seemed to be about $18, followed by $13 for subsequent months. This seemed to be offered alongside the reduced membership option which offers pictures only up to 800px resolution for $16, then $12.

I emailed the site over these concerns, but got no reply. I signed up anyway, just to see what I would be charged. I was billed for just over £13 - which would equate to £25.

Looking at the site now, it appears they've changed the wording - now it says "$18.00 (+initial $7)" - which works out at $0.56 (30p) per day. It may be that this was the correct pricing at the time I signed up, but the wording was unclear and confusing. It does seem that this has now been cleared up. (NB. The site is now also saying "more than 4 months $17.00 Get discount for your loyalty!" I assume that after 4 months your subscription drops from $18 to $17, but again, this is unclear.)

Anyhow, your subscription is processed by CCBill.com via Credit Card, or you can also pay through Member-Cash for 21€ ($28, £14) for one month, or three months for 40€ ($53, £26 approx.). I signed up with CCBill, as they run most of the affiliate programs that I have joined, and seem to be reliable. I entered my details into the secure online form and was into the site proper straight away. I was billed a few days later.

So, once inside SusanWayland.com, what did I find? The main page is set up with a few posts of recent news (recently there was a poll to determine what subscribers would like to see more of, and more videos was the winner by far), followed by a preview of photosets due to be updated in the next few days. Below that you get the meat and bones of the site - the archive of photosets. At the time of writing, there were 71 different sets of pictures and 3 videos. The number of pictures in each set varies, from 12 to over 100, so you certainly get a lot of photos for your money.

Each set is split into a series of updates (new sets get uploaded in stages) and is presented as a series of thumbnails following a short introduction from Sway herself. Her English isn't fantastic, (but that's a churlish criticism - after all it's a lot better than my German!), but there's something sweet about her turn of phrase. By clicking on the thumbnail you get the picture at the full resolution (1280x853), but you can also click under the picture on a series of resolutions - low (500x334) and medium (534x800). The site is updated regularly - you generally get an email every other day informing you of a new update to the site.

The pictures themselves (mostly taken by Sway's partner Norman Richter) are very slick and very professional. The scenes and lighting are fantastic, and Susan herself is nothing but gorgeous in all the pictures. The pictures themselves never veer into the hardcore - no boy/girl, no dildos, just some great pin-up style shots. There are a number of girl on girl pictures (including a current set with Bianca Beuachamp), but these never go beyond sensual touching and faux-lesbian kissing.

One criticism that I have is that in any given photoset you tend to get one hundred pictures of Sway in roughly the same outfit, just in different poses, which seems like too much of a good thing - there is rarely any "story" to the sets, no progression. Where the sets work best is when Sway gets dressed on camera, as in the "Sweet and Dirty" set, where Sway gets lubed up in a black latex catsuit, pulls on some clear stockings and ballet boots and finally a thick latex hood.

Another problem I have is that once a set is complete, there is no option of downloading the complete set in one zip file, you have to download each individual update.

The videos are a different matter. You have the option of downloading the clips in up to 3 different formats - mpg, RealMedia, and Windows Media. Bizarrely, I have never been able to get the mpgs to playback, despite having the most up-to-date version of QuickTime and DivX Player (possibly could be down to my creaky old iBook, but other people have reported the same problem in the forum). However, the RM and WMV files work just fine.

As to the content of the videos, well, they're pedestrian at best. Sure, it's nice to see Sway moving about, but the videos were just taken at the same time as the photoshoots, so again , there's not much of a plot. It would be nice to see some behind-the-scenes stuff - a day shopping for latex outfits with Sway, a mini-movie with other actors and models and a plot - not necessarily porno, but something more than Sway standing around looking sexy (which, to be fair, she does very well!)

Away from the photos, you get access to the Forum, where you can discuss the photosets, or othe kinky things, and also get access to Sway's journals, where she tells us all about her life and trips around the world.

In all, SusanWayland.com is a well presented, slick site, featuring huge amounts of photos of one of the fetish world's most sexy models in a variety of stunning outfits, which you can't really argue about - it's just that's all you seem to get. There's very little in here which seems more, well, kinky. Sets like "Undutiful Secretary Officegirl" push things a bit by adding an element of bondage (Sway gets bored at work and gets tied to her chair in her latex underwear and then gagged), and the "Vacuum Bed" set really increases the general kinkiness of proceedings, which is very welcome.

As this is the first paysite to which I've subscribed, I'm not sure if I should expect more from Susan and Norman's site. The site probably isn't expensive for the amount of pictures you get and so I'll give it a DD&K rating of 7 out of 10.
